Love this. It’s so beautifully written and the idea of same coordinates, different perspective is rich. Will you have many individual pieces like this or a continuous story? It’s very engaging.

Thanks so much, Jill! It was meant just as a single piece, hopefully others to follow, various themes.

I remembered a German children book which my sons loved "Oh, wie schoen ist Panama" by Janosch. It is the story of a little tiger and a little bear, very good friends, who set off in search of a soulful place to live. Their journey brings them back to the place where they left some time ago. Everything seems different, new, a place more beautiful and friendlier than anything they had ever seen. The place is in fact the same, but they are different. The trip enriched their souls, it was a life lesson that prepared them to see the place with different eyes, to feel it with their heart. Therefore, this is no longer their old home but a dreamland. Maybe the way we see everything around us, the way we find a relationship with everything that surrounds us, maybe this makes the place ours, or not. Going back doesn't always mean going back to a certain place, but finding the right place in yourself. Going back to yourself.

Oh this sounds lovely, especially as a children book! I guess we should be more aware that what we adopt or reject is so much a matter of what we invest in it; it’s a great message for children to grow up more inclined to accept the fluid boundaries between our perceptions. Thanks for commenting, Mioara!

Such a beautiful story and a beautiful message. So much of what we see is indeed, as you put it, within the "geography of our minds." It's good, essential even, to keep this close to the heart daily. Thanks much for sharing, Zoe. I enjoyed it a lot.
